About me

I am an independent journalist and producer based between Kampala and London. I cover gender, social justice and the arts for outlets such as CNN, The Guardian, BBC News, Al Jazeera, VICE, Elle Magazine and Thomson Reuters. I have reported from Western Europe, South Asia and across Sub-Saharan Africa. Before journalism, I worked in communications and campaigns for Transparency International. My interests include cities, post-colonialism, hummus and all things 90s. My hero is early 20th century mega-babe Sylvia Pankhurst
